For Educational Institutions

Knowledge of standards for the electricity sector is a part of the skill.
Do you feel like you know them?

Test your knowledge of  the electricity sector standards  -> Link to test (in Finnish)

Site www.SFSedu.fi  presents different areas of standardization.

The Web site is designed to provide information on standards and standardization primarily for students and teachers. The Site is an easy-to-use database for them. It is a realiable and up-dated source of information, drawn up to help teachers with standardization lecture material. Worth a visit!

Handbooks and presentation material for education

  kk_kannet_a4_606_vih.png

In order to give future electricity sector professionals information about studying in their own field of standards, we, along with SFS, have prepared ”green handbooks”. They are standard manuals, in substance the same as those for professionals, but they are cheaper and sold only for educational institutions and students. The latest is the SFS-606 manual for electrical installations and electrical equipment, basic safety concepts.

These handbooks, as well as the PowerPoint presentations for teachers, are suitable for education standardization material.

Standardization Seminars in schools

SFS and SESKO visit schools each year - mainly in polytechnics and technical universities. Our aim is to keep standards as a part of teaching and support schools with self-study material. We in SESKO and our colleagues in standardization have a vision, that at least in the electric field there would no longer exist generations who do not know anything about industry standards when entering the labor market.

If you wish a standards presentation arranged for your institute, please contact the Managing Director Sinikka Hieta-Wilkman. New ideas for green book -manuals and new ways to co-operate with schools are very welcome!
