Young Professionals Programme at SESKO

SESKO’s Young Professionals (YP) programme is aimed at upcoming expert engineers, technicians and managers employed by industry working in the field of electrotechnology. SESKO’s objective is to discover potential young experts and then expose them further to international standardization.

The programme helps participants develop skills to enable them to have a strong influencing role when representing Finland at regional and international levels. Taking part in the YP programme a participant gains not only experience but also a wide international network with other experts and organizations involved in standardization.

The requirements for potential YP candidate:

  • some experience of standards development or of using standards in the context of conformity assessment.
  • aged early 20s to mid-30s.
  • works for a business, industry, association, education body or government body that is using, benefiting from or contributing to the IEC’s work.

SESKO reaches out to potential YPs most effectively via our stakeholders such as our member communities and TC participants. We endeavour to always welcome new experts and to familiarize them with standardization and are also willing to offer them personal guidance when required.
